NieR: Automata Iron Pipe Location Guide

Weapons in NieR: Automata feature a variable damage range with each attack. Upgrading a weapon can narrow this range while simultaneously increasing its potential damage output.

While most weapons maintain consistent damage ranges, the Iron Pipe stands out with the game's widest variance. Despite its unpredictability, it boasts one of the highest potential damage ceilings. Though its performance can feel random, this weapon is worth acquiring and testing for yourself. Here's how to obtain it.

How To Get The Iron Pipe In NieR: Automata

The Iron Pipe can be obtained through fishing in sewer areas. The first accessible sewer provides equal chances for acquiring the Iron Pipe as other locations. Fast travel to the Resistance Camp and head right toward the Amusement Park. After crossing a small gap beneath the highway, you'll find an open manhole on the right that leads downward.

Once in the sewer, simply stand in the water and begin fishing for the Iron Pipe. You may also catch various junk items that can be sold for currency. The process involves patience rather than any special technique—you might get it within a few casts or after several minutes of trying. Activate your pod's light to improve visibility in the dark sewer environment, making it easier to detect when the lure submerges.

Another sewer location can be found along the path to the Flooded City.
