Nintendo Direct Reveals Switch 2 Launch Date

We finally have a release date for the Nintendo Switch 2: it's launching on June 5, 2025.

Nintendo also announced the starting price for the Switch 2 today, which is set at $449.99.

The Nintendo Switch 2 package includes:

Meanwhile, the Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle is priced at $499.99 in the United States. This bundle includes the console and a digital download code for Mario Kart World, available from the system's launch day on June 5.

Mario Kart World sold separately will cost $79.99, representing a $10 increase over Nintendo's previous most expensive Switch game.

“Nintendo Switch 2 is the next evolution in home console gaming that you can take on the go, building on eight years of player experiences and discoveries that started with the original Nintendo Switch,” said Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa.

“With its new features that broaden the scope of gaming possibilities, I am confident that Nintendo Switch 2 represents a significant leap forward in our mission to bring smiles to people's faces through our products.”
