Nintendo has officially confirmed several first-party titles set to launch in 2025, according to their recent financial report. Fans can look forward to the release of Donkey Kong Country Returns HD on January 16th and Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition on March 20th, both within the first quarter of the year. Additionally, Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond are slated for release this year, though exact dates remain undisclosed.

While no other projects have been announced yet, anticipation is building for the Nintendo Direct scheduled for April 2nd, 2025. The exact broadcast time will be announced later via Nintendo's official website and social media channels. Although the focus is expected to be on the Nintendo Switch 2, enthusiasts are eager for more details or teasers of Switch 2-exclusive titles during the event.

The eagerly awaited Nintendo Switch 2 is set to hit the market later this year. According to the financial report, the console is expected to launch in the latter half of 2025. To build excitement, Nintendo will host live in-person Nintendo Switch 2 Experience events across 15 global locations, including New York, Tokyo, and Amsterdam, starting in April. While most locations have closed registration, fans can still join a waitlist for a chance to win tickets. For the Japan leg of the tour, ticket applications are open until February 20th JST.

Super Nintendo World Expands To Orlando, Florida

In a move to further expand their IPs, Nintendo is set to open a new Super Nintendo World theme park in the United States. Located at Universal Orlando Resort’s Universal Epic Universe in Orlando, Florida, the park is scheduled to open on May 22nd, 2025. This marks the second Super Nintendo World location in the U.S., following its debut at Universal Studios Hollywood in California in February 2023. The Orlando park will feature the vibrant landscapes of Super Mario Land and the lush tropical setting of Donkey Kong Country from day one.

Nintendo also plans to launch Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Singapore in 2025, though further details on this project are yet to be announced.
