Many games struggle with optimization issues at launch, which are often resolved with subsequent patches. However, *FragPunk* has impressed players with its smooth performance right from release. While there's always room for improvement in terms of frame rates, here are the best settings and crosshair codes to enhance your *FragPunk* experience.
FragPunk Settings Overview
The *FragPunk* settings menu is divided into five tabs. While most settings outside the Video tab focus on quality of life and accessibility, some can significantly improve your gameplay. We'll highlight these settings, while others can be left at default or adjusted based on personal preference.
General
The General tab houses settings that enhance your gameplay experience. It's a good idea to experiment with these to find what suits you best. Here are some settings to consider:
- Automatic Climbing – On
- Automatic Sprint – On
- Camera Shake During Sprint – Off
- FOV Sprint Scaling – On
- Flash Eye Guarding – On
- Keep Player Centered – On
- Minimap Orientation Rotate – On
- Performance Metrics – On
- Ping Visibility – 1
- Hide Overly Visible Skin Components from Enemies – On
This tab also includes options for customizing your crosshair, which we'll discuss later.
Keyboard/Controller
These tabs allow you to adjust your key bindings. Feel free to use any binds that feel comfortable, but consider setting the walk function to the Shift key since Automatic Sprint is enabled, freeing up this key. This setup aligns well with other tactical shooters like *VALORANT* and *CS2*.
Sensitivity
Sensitivity settings are highly personal. You might want to experiment or even use online calculators to convert settings from other games like *VALORANT* or *CS2* to find your perfect sensitivity in *FragPunk*.
Audio
For audio settings, set the Sound Effects volume to a comfortable level. Lower the Music, Announcer, and Button Volume to reduce distractions. Enable Character Voice Simplification to cut down on unnecessary character banter. Voice Chat settings are up to personal preference.
