Finnish mobile game giant Supercell has delivered a surprising twist. Following the announcement of Clash Heroes’ shutdown, they've revealed plans to resurrect the game's core concept in a completely new form: Project R.I.S.E.
The Full Story:
The rumors were true; Clash Heroes is officially discontinued, mirroring the fate of Clash Mini. However, Supercell isn't abandoning the idea entirely. Project R.I.S.E. will be a social action RPG roguelite, retaining the familiar Clash universe but with a significant overhaul.
In a recent announcement video, game lead Julien Le Cadre confirmed the closure of Clash Heroes, but emphasized the positive: Project R.I.S.E. is a multiplayer-focused action RPG.
For a deeper dive into the details, check out the announcement video:
Project R.I.S.E. will share DNA with Clash Heroes, but it's a completely rebuilt experience. This social action RPG roguelite will feature three-player teams exploring "The Tower," a mysterious location with procedurally generated floors. The objective is to ascend as high as possible, emphasizing cooperative gameplay and diverse character interactions, unlike its predecessor's focus on solo PvE.
Currently in pre-alpha, Project R.I.S.E. is slated for its first playtest in early July 2024. Registration is open on the official website for a chance to participate.
