PoE 2: Guide to Acquiring Ingenuity Utility Belt

by Benjamin Feb 26,2025

This guide details how to obtain the Ingenuity Utility Belt, a unique and powerful belt in Path of Exile 2.

Acquiring the Ingenuity Utility Belt:

The Ingenuity Utility Belt is a unique drop from the King in the Mists, a challenging endgame Ritual Boss. To fight him, you'll need the "An Audience With the King" item, used at the Realmgate on the Atlas. Defeat the King in the Mists, and you have a chance (approximately 1 in 5) to receive the belt.

Ingenuity Utility Belt

The King in the Mists has a unique drop table:

  1. The Burden of Shadows Chiming Staff
  2. Beetlebite Beetlebite
  3. From Nothing From Nothing
  4. Pragmatism Pragmatism
  5. Ingenuity Ingenuity

Higher difficulty levels increase the drop chance but also significantly increase the boss's difficulty. Be prepared for a challenging encounter.

Alternatively, you can purchase the Ingenuity Utility Belt from the PoE 2 trade site for approximately 15-50 Divine Orbs, depending on its stats. This is a far more expensive but reliable method.

Obtaining "An Audience With the King":

There are two ways to get this item:

  • Trade Site: Purchase it for roughly 4-7 Divine Orbs.
  • Ritual Maps: It has a low chance of appearing as a Ritual favor. These favors are expensive (2700-3900 Tribute). If you can't afford it immediately, defer it to obtain it at a reduced cost in a future Ritual (usually within 1-4 maps).

If you obtain "An Audience With the King" but aren't ready for the fight, you can sell it or seek a carry for a small fee.

Using Orb of Chance:

Orb of Chance No, the Ingenuity Utility Belt cannot be obtained using Orbs of Chance. It's a unique boss drop and not part of the regular loot pool.

This comprehensive guide should help you acquire the Ingenuity Utility Belt in Path of Exile 2. Remember to prepare adequately for the King in the Mists encounter!
