Flat2VR Studios has exciting news for fans of the classic trash shooter, announcing a virtual reality adaptation of Postal 2, which originally hit the shelves 22 years ago. The project was introduced with a captivating debut trailer that showcases the game's signature humor and chaotic gameplay, promising an immersive VR experience.
The trailer follows the protagonist, known as the Dude, as he gathers signatures to support the development of Postal 2 VR. Later, the developers unveil some of the remake's standout features, including a redesigned shooting mechanic optimized for VR controllers, an updated user interface, and a refreshed mini-map system to enhance navigation and gameplay.
A dedicated Steam page for Postal 2: VR is now live, offering fans a glimpse through screenshots, detailed system requirements, and additional information. To enjoy the PC version, users will need at least Windows 10, an Intel Core i5-4590 or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X CPU, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9 290 GPU, and 8 GB of RAM. While Russian voiceovers won't be included, the game will feature subtitles to ensure accessibility.
Despite the modern upgrades, the core experience remains faithful to the original game. Players will embark on everyday errands such as grocery shopping and returning library books, but with the freedom to deviate into complete chaos at any moment, staying true to the game's rebellious spirit.
Postal 2 VR will be available across multiple platforms, including SteamVR, PS VR2, Quest 2, and Quest 3, ensuring a wide range of players can dive into this thrilling virtual reality adventure.
