GoldenEye fans, brace yourselves - IO Interactive is officially bringing its upcoming James Bond title to Nintendo Switch 2.
As revealed on IO Interactive's website, Project 007 will feature a completely original narrative set in the Bond universe.
"Players will embody the world's most iconic secret agent as they earn their 00 status in Bond's very first origin story," the developer explained about the game's premise.
IO Interactive's Head Hakan Abrak shared insights with IGN last October about crafting a fresh origin narrative for the legendary spy. "This project's excitement stems from creating an entirely original storyline - not simply adapting an existing film," he told IGN.
"We're establishing foundational elements with potential for future trilogies. Crucially, we're introducing a brand-new Bond specifically designed for gamers - a character players can claim as their own and evolve alongside," Abrak continued.
