The 2025 PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) has kicked off, marking the first international PUBG Mobile Esports event of the year with over 90,000 registered competitors. The Open Qualifiers, which started on February 13th, offer a golden opportunity for new talent to rise through the ranks and secure a spot in the PMGO Main Event.
With a substantial $500,000 prize pool at stake, teams must demonstrate their prowess across several rounds to earn the chance to compete against established PUBG Mobile Esports organizations. This tournament is exclusively for amateurs, spotlighting fresh talent in the competitive scene.
Teams that include at least one player ranked in the Ultimate 500 from Cycle 7 Season 20 or 21 have already advanced to Round 2 of the Open Qualifiers. Over the coming weeks, emerging squads will vie for a position in the PMGO Prelims, where they will confront the top teams from the Uzbekistan Offline Qualifiers.
From the Prelims, twelve teams will advance to the PMGO Main Event, where they will challenge PUBG Mobile's elite professionals. Four professional teams—Regnum Carya, Nigma Galaxy, 4Merical Vibes, and Influence Rage—have already secured their spots based on their performances at the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2024. Additionally, four more teams will qualify from regional competitions, including the PMSL SEA Spring, PMGO Korea Qualifier, and the Peacekeeper Elite League Spring season.
The Open Qualifiers will continue until March 2nd, followed by the Prelims on April 10th-11th, leading directly into the Main Event on April 12th-13th. This tournament is just the beginning of an exciting year for PUBG Mobile Esports, with the PUBG Mobile World Cup and the PMGC scheduled to return later in 2025.
