The final day of the Six Invitational is always an exciting event, particularly for fans of Rainbow Six Siege, as Ubisoft uses this occasion to unveil major updates and surprises. This year was no exception, with the highly anticipated reveal of Rauora, the newest attack operator hailing from New Zealand.
Rauora's standout feature is her innovative DOM launcher, a portable, bullet-resistant shield designed exclusively for doorways. While durable enough to withstand gunfire, it remains vulnerable to explosive attacks. The shield comes equipped with a trigger mechanism that can be activated by any player, though the reaction time varies based on the team: attackers require just one second to deploy it, whereas defenders face a three-second delay. This discrepancy becomes especially critical during moments when the defuser is planted, potentially turning the tide of battle.

In addition to her groundbreaking gadget, Rauora introduces a fresh weapon to the game: the Reaper MK2, a fully automatic pistol featuring a red dot sight and extended magazine capacity. Players can choose from alternative primary weapons, such as the M249 LMG or the 417 marksman rifle, allowing for diverse playstyles.
Rauora is set to debut on the test servers in the coming week, offering players the chance to experience her abilities firsthand. The live version of the game will follow shortly thereafter. Keep an eye out for more details as her release approaches!
