"Recharge Drone: Acquisition and Usage in R.E.P.O. Game"

by Jason Mar 28,2025

In the chilling universe of *R.E.P.O.*, your survival hinges on the items you collect, which can either propel you to the next level or send you to the dreaded Disposal Arena to fight alongside your teammates. Among these crucial items, Recharge Drones stand out as vital tools for success. Here's a comprehensive guide on how to acquire and utilize them effectively.

What Recharge Drones Do

In *R.E.P.O.*, the Service Station offers a variety of items, some of which are single-use, like Mines and Grenades. Others, however, come with a "battery life" and can be rejuvenated using Energy Crystals. As you start your journey in *R.E.P.O.*, you'll notice a container in your truck designed to recharge your weapons or drones, albeit at the cost of an Energy Crystal.

When you buy additional Energy Crystals, they seamlessly integrate into the container, so there's no need to fret about their disappearance post-purchase. To recharge an item, simply place it in the yellow bucket adjacent to the container, and watch as it regains its vitality. This process is invaluable for maintaining your gear in top shape, readying you to face the next level and its myriad of monsters.

However, some levels can be particularly taxing, causing your items to wear down quickly based on usage. While you can recharge them with Energy Crystals at designated spots, you won't always be near your truck. This is where the Recharge Drone becomes an indispensable ally, allowing you to manage your items' energy on the move.

How to Get and Use the Recharge Drone in R.E.P.O.

The Recharge Drone, like other items and upgrades, can be found at the Service Station, which you access after successfully completing a level. This is your chance to gear up for the challenges ahead, provided you have the funds.

Given that items at the Service Station spawn randomly, it might take several visits before the Recharge Drone becomes available. Once it does, it will cost you between $4-5K. This compact cube will occupy one of your inventory slots, so you'll need to assign it a number (1, 2, or 3) after purchase.

You can monitor your item's condition through the battery bar displayed beneath it. To recharge, select the drone, activate it with the 'E' key, and attach your depleted item. Let the Recharge Drone work its magic! Once the drone's battery is depleted, you can recharge it using Energy Crystals in your truck's container.

Now that you're equipped with the knowledge of where to find and how to use the Recharge Drone in *R.E.P.O.*, you're better prepared to navigate the horrors that await.
