How to Respec in Avowed

by Ethan Mar 06,2025

Re-rolling your Avowed character? It happens! This guide details how to respec abilities, attributes, and even your companion's stats.

When to Respec:

Starting a new game can be tricky; choosing the right class and attributes is crucial. If your build isn't working, respeccing lets you adjust your character to better suit your playstyle. This is especially helpful in Avowed, where experimenting with different builds is encouraged. Later in the game, respeccing can optimize your character for maximum combat effectiveness.

Respeccing Abilities:

Abilities Respec Screen

Open the menu and go to the "Abilities" section. At the bottom, you'll find the "Reset Points" option. The initial cost is 100 Copper Skeyt, increasing with gameplay. This resets all ability points except those from the "Godlike" skill tree (obtained through in-game choices).

Respeccing Attributes:

Attributes Respec Screen

Happy with your abilities but not your attributes? Or want a complete overhaul? In the menu, navigate to the "Character" section. Underneath the attribute list, you'll see a button to reset attribute points for a cost (initially 100 Copper Skeyt, increasing later).

Respeccing Companions:

Companion Respec Screen

To respec your companion, open the menu, go to "Abilities," and select the "Companions" tab. Under your companion's name, you'll find a button to reset their points for a Copper Skeyt cost. Note: each companion must be respecced individually.

That's how to respec in Avowed! Enjoy experimenting with different builds.

Avowed is available now.
