Reverse: 1999 x Assassin’s Creed Crossover Reveals Ezio as Playable Character

Following Bluepoch Games' initial announcement in January, new details have emerged about the highly anticipated Reverse: 1999 x Assassin’s Creed crossover event. The collaboration will introduce Ezio Auditore as a playable character when it launches globally in August 2025.

Legendary Assassin Joins Time-Travel Adventure

Developed in partnership with Ubisoft, the crossover draws inspiration from two iconic Assassin’s Creed titles – Assassin’s Creed II and Odyssey. Fans got their first glimpse earlier this year through a teaser showing protagonist Vertin walking a rain-soaked street as the signature Assassin’s Creed emblem materialized.

The full event roadmap reveals content divided across two distinct phases. Phase I transports players to Renaissance Florence, where Vertin and her companions will navigate 15th-century Italy solving mysterious clues. Phase II then shifts the action to Ancient Greece, recreating key elements from Assassin’s Creed Odyssey's setting.

Global Simultaneous Release

This crossover marks a milestone for Reverse: 1999 as its first globally synchronized event, ensuring all players worldwide access the content simultaneously. The tactical RPG blends modern and vintage aesthetics in its time-traveling narrative where players assume the role of Vertin, a Timekeeper resistant to the reality-altering phenomenon called The Storm.

The game follows Vertin and her ally Sonetto as they journey through erased historical periods to rescue fellow arcanists affected by temporal distortions. Alongside Ezio's debut, the event will introduce Assassin’s Creed-themed missions and storyline content.

The crossover launches August 2025 across Android, iOS and PC platforms. New players can experience Reverse: 1999's distinctive time-bending adventure by downloading from the Google Play Store.
