Rust Unveils Major Update: Enhanced Cooking and Farming

Rust, the acclaimed multiplayer survival game, has unveiled an exciting new update known as The Crafting Update. This patch significantly enhances players' creative capabilities by introducing a variety of innovative features. One of the standout additions is the culinary workbench, where survivors can now indulge in culinary arts by grilling chicken legs and enjoying them with a shot of Siberian vodka. Cooking requires specific recipes, and well-prepared meals offer stat boosts and gameplay modifiers, adding a strategic layer to survival.

Players can now raise chickens and chicks in coops, where these birds will live, lay eggs, and flourish if properly cared for. Each chick has four essential attributes: Hunger, Thirst, Love, and Sunlight. Neglecting any of these needs can lead to the birds' demise. Chicken meat, once obtained, will spoil over time unless stored in a working refrigerator. To help manage food resources, timers on food items now indicate their expiration dates.

For those with a penchant for sweets, wild beehives can be discovered on trees. Extracting honeycombs requires careful handling and transferring them to player-crafted hives made from wooden boxes. Bees pose a significant threat, so players must equip protective suits, use water to douse themselves, or resort to flamethrowers to avoid stings. A novel weapon, the Bee Grenade, looks like a jar of honey but, when broken, unleashes three swarms of aggressive bees, compelling players to seek immediate safety.

The engineering workbench has undergone a complete overhaul, now boasting a dedicated tech tree for plumbing and electricity. This update empowers players to construct automated systems and even entire factories, revolutionizing the way they interact with the game environment. Additionally, the developers have introduced premium servers, exclusively accessible to players whose Rust inventory is valued at a minimum of $15. This initiative aims to create a more enjoyable experience by filtering out cheaters and disruptive players, ensuring a smoother gameplay for dedicated enthusiasts.
