Sonic Rumble, although not yet globally launched, is already making waves with its first crossover event titled Crossover Event #0: SEGA Stars. This exciting event is live from now until May 7th, just before the game's worldwide launch on May 8th.
Currently in soft launch, Sonic Rumble is accessible in over 40 countries. It kicked off with pre-launch 1 in Summer 2024, debuting in regions such as the Philippines, Scandinavian countries, and Colombia. Pre-launch 2 followed, extending its reach to Canada, Turkey, Malaysia, South Africa, and more.
What’s in Store?
If you're in one of the regions where Sonic Rumble soft-launched last year, you can jump into the SEGA Stars crossover. The event brings back the Altered Beast crew, with the Werewolf transformation available for free. Nostalgic fans can also grab the Werebear and Weredragon transformations, though these come at a cost. The Weredragon is exclusive to the Premium Pass, while the Werebear can be purchased with regular rings.
Fantasy Zone's Opa-Opa and Upa-Upa also make an appearance. Opa-Opa is part of the Premium Pass, whereas Upa-Upa can be obtained through fragments bought with standard rings, each costing 700.
Adding to the excitement, AiAi and MeeMee from Super Monkey Ball have joined the crossover. AiAi can be yours for 729 Red Star Rings. To get a better look at what the event offers, check out the video below.
Earn Exclusive Goodies During the Sonic Rumble SEGA Stars Crossover
During the event, players can earn additional rewards by collecting SEGA logos during matches. While it might seem unusual for the event to go live before the global release, SEGA has assured fans that most of these pre-release rewards will return later.
This inaugural crossover event showcases Sonic Rumble's deep dive into SEGA's rich catalog of past and present characters. The blend of monkeys, sentient arcade ships, and were-creatures interacting with Sonic and his friends adds a promising layer of excitement to the game.
Get your hands on Sonic Rumble now via the Google Play Store, or mark your calendar for its global launch on May 8th.
