"Shining Revelry Expansion Coming to Pokemon TCG Pocket This Month"

by Zoe May 14,2025

My interest in Pokemon TCG Pocket tends to ebb and flow. I dive deep into the game whenever a new set is released and continue playing as long as there are Emblems to earn for achieving around 40 wins. Once those are secured, my engagement shifts to a more casual routine: logging in daily to open packs, doing a Wonder Pick for fun, and then stepping away until the next day. This pattern will undoubtedly repeat with the arrival of the new expansion, Shining Revelry, set to launch on March 27th.

Shining Revelry will enrich Pokemon TCG Pocket with 110 new cards, encompassing a variety of new Ex Pokemon, Trainer cards, and the stunning art cards that fans adore. The highlight of this expansion, hinted at by its name, is the introduction of Shiny Pokemon. These are unique, differently colored versions of your beloved creatures. For instance, you'll find Lucario sporting a vibrant yellow instead of its usual blue, and Pachirisu with a striking pink stripe.

The expansion's trailer, which you can watch below, teases what we can expect, but let's delve deeper. A new Shiny Charizard Ex is coming, boasting 180 HP and a formidable attack, Steam Artillery, which inflicts 150 damage. However, this powerful move requires a hefty five energy. To counterbalance this, its other move, Stoke, lets you attach three Fire Energy at once, speeding up your offensive strategy.

Another standout Ex card is Lucario. Previously playing a supporting role in the Space-Time Smackdown expansion, this iteration of the Aura Pokemon is designed for direct combat. With 150 HP and the Aura Sphere attack, which deals 100 damage for three Fighting Energy and hits an opponent's Benched Pokemon for an additional 30, Lucario is poised to make an impact.

The trailer also showcases other cards that, while not game-changers, are visually appealing and exciting additions. Shiny versions of Wiglett, Pachirisu, and Varoom are on the horizon, each looking fantastic. Additionally, there's a stunning Tatsugiri art rare that I'm eager to add to my digital collection.

Pokemon TCG Pocket is readily available for free on the App Store and Google Play, with optional in-app purchases. If you're interested, you can download it for your preferred platform using the buttons below.
