by Michael May 12,2025

Exciting news for *Pokemon Home* players! With the latest update to version 3.2.2, you now have the chance to snag Shiny Keldeo and Shiny Meltan. While it's a bit of a challenge to unlock these legendary Pokemon, the effort is definitely worthwhile. Shiny Keldeo, once Shiny-locked and unobtainable, can now be yours, and you can transfer both Shiny Keldeo and Shiny Meltan to your other *Pokemon* games linked to your *Home* account.

How To Get Shiny Keldeo in Pokemon Home

To secure Shiny Keldeo in *Pokemon Home*, you'll need to complete the Galar Pokedex, including entries from *Sword & Shield* and the Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra DLCs. Each of these Pokemon must have the Galar origin mark, which is a slanted PokeBall logo visible above their stat screen. This mark indicates that the Pokemon originated from *Sword & Shield* or its DLCs. Once you've filled out these Pokedexes, head to the main menu, click on the three-line menu icon, and select "Mystery Gift" to claim your Shiny Keldeo. There's no rush—Shiny Keldeo is available to claim without a deadline.

How To Get Shiny Meltan in Pokemon Home

Similarly, to obtain Shiny Meltan, you'll need to complete the Kanto Pokedex with Pokemon from *Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee*. These Pokemon should carry the Let's Go marker, depicted as a Pikachu silhouette above their stat screen. Once your Kanto Pokedex is complete, navigate to the "Mystery Gift" option in the main menu to receive your Shiny Meltan. Like Keldeo, there's no time limit to claim Shiny Meltan.

Why Is Pokemon Home Not Registering My Pokedex?

If you're encountering issues with *Pokemon Home* not registering your Pokedex entries, it might be due to a data problem that can be fixed by clearing the app's cache. Follow these steps as advised by Pokemon's support website:

  • Open the *Pokemon Home* app.
  • Select the "Menu" icon in the top-right corner of the title screen (it's a three-line symbol within a circle).
  • Choose "Clear Cache."
  • You'll see a reassurance that "None of the data you’re currently using will be deleted."
  • Tap "OK."
  • A message will confirm "Cache successfully cleared!"

After clearing the cache, your Pokedex should start registering your Pokemon correctly.
