Silent Hill f is an ideal standalone entry point for players new to the franchise. Learn how this title connects to the series and get details about its upcoming panel at Anime Expo 2025.
Silent Hill f: An Independent Entry in the Franchise
A Standalone Experience Accessible to New Players
Fans have been curious about Silent Hill f's placement in the series timeline, but a May 20 tweet from Konami clarified that it is a standalone title separate from the main series, making it perfectly suited for newcomers.
However, as mentioned during the Silent Hill Transmission in March, the developers have included subtle nods to previous games for long-time fans.
Connecting this game to the series' iconic town presents a challenge, as the original Silent Hill games were set in 1990s America, while Silent Hill f takes place in 1960s Japan. Although Konami is moving away from the classic setting, they have assured fans that the game will deliver the same psychological horror the series is known for.
Silent Hill f Panel at Anime Expo 2025
Fans won't have to wait much longer for updates, as Silent Hill f will be featured in a panel at Anime Expo 2025. On May 21, Anime Expo announced via Twitter that Konami will host "Unmasking SILENT HILL f," featuring Producer Motoi Okamoto, Scriptwriter Ryukishi07, and Composer Akira Yamaoka.
The panel is scheduled for July 4, from 3:15 PM to 4:05 PM at the Los Angeles Convention Center in California. Tickets for the expo and panel registration are now available through Anime Expo's official post. There has been no official confirmation regarding a live stream for the event.
Konami has remained quiet about Silent Hill f's release date, but this event may offer clues about when the next installment in the psychological survival horror series will arrive. Silent Hill f is currently available for wishlisting on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. For the latest updates on Silent Hill f, check out our article below!
