Stardew Valley's highly anticipated 1.6 update finally arrives on mobile devices! Console and mobile players can rejoice, as the massive update launches on November 4th, 2024, following its March 2024 PC debut.
What's New in Stardew Valley 1.6 Mobile?
This update significantly expands the game. Online multiplayer now supports up to eight players, doubling the previous limit for collaborative farming, building, and fishing adventures. Two exciting fishing festivals—the Trout Derby and SquidFest—join the seasonal event lineup, alongside the Desert Festival.
A brand-new farm layout, the Meadowlands Farm, offers ample space for livestock and convenient fishing opportunities. Over 100 new NPC dialogues enrich interactions with the town's residents, adding depth to your relationships.
A plethora of new items awaits! Discover the Big Chest (nearly twice the capacity of a standard chest), a dehydrator for preserving produce, a heavy furnace, and a bait maker for crafting specialized fishing lures.
Extensive customization options abound with new furniture styles and over 25 stylish hats. Complete quests and festival events to earn prize tickets, redeemable at a prize machine in Lewis's house.
The update introduces multiple pet ownership after maximizing your initial pet's affection. These furry friends may even bring gifts, and now they can sport hats! You'll also notice NPCs sporting winter attire.
A golden Joja parrot assists in locating elusive golden walnuts on Ginger Island. New crops include carrots, summer squash, broccoli, powdermelon, and two giant crop varieties.
Reasons for the Delay
The delayed mobile and console release allowed the developers to thoroughly test the update on PC, ensuring a smoother experience for all players. Now, in November, get ready to explore new fishing events, bond with your pets, and cultivate new crops!
