Shift Up has officially announced that a full sequel to Stellar Blade is in development.
The PlayStation-exclusive action title, which launched in April 2024, was met with a positive reception. Players praised its gameplay for blending elements from NieR: Automata and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
This confirmation came via a corporate strategy chart published within Shift Up's latest financial results, outlining the Korean developer's future roadmap.
A presentation slide detailing the planned expansion of Shift Up's franchises lists the Stellar Blade sequel as a key upcoming release, scheduled to arrive before 2027.
Prior to the sequel's launch, the roadmap also notes a "platform expansion" for Stellar Blade, which is widely understood to be the PC version set for release on June 11, 2025.
The same pre-2027 development window includes the launch of Shift Up's enigmatic Project Witches, a new multiplatform action RPG that remains largely under wraps.

Earlier this week, Shift Up stated it was in active discussions with Sony regarding a mysterious PC region lock issue that had blocked the game's Steam store page in over 100 countries.
"Stellar Blade is a visually stunning and meticulously crafted action game with notable strengths and some clear shortcomings," noted IGN in its review.
"Its narrative and character development lack depth, and certain RPG elements feel underbaked—such as repetitive side quests that often force players to backtrack through previous areas with little variation or reward.
"However, its combat system excels, built upon rock-solid fundamentals inspired by Sekiro. It features a diverse roster of grotesque enemies to battle and includes plenty of hidden secrets that effectively encourage thorough exploration."
