Clone Hero streamer and content creator CarnyJared has achieved an extraordinary feat by completing a full combo (FC) on DragonForce's iconic Guitar Hero 3 song, Through the Fire and Flames, at an astonishing 200% speed. This remarkable accomplishment was shared with the world on February 27, marking the culmination of a nine-month journey of dedication and practice.
In his video description, CarnyJared expressed his gratitude, stating, “IT. IS. OVER.” He acknowledged the unwavering support from his community, saying, “I am rightfully thankful for everybody that has supported me throughout this ridiculous grind. I have the best supporters on the entire platform of Twitch and YouTube.” He emphasized the collective effort, noting, “We all spent an unfathomable amount of time staring at the same 3,722 notes, figuring out any possible way to hit them more efficiently. Somehow it worked out, and somehow I am able to sit in front of this computer which you have all cumulatively provided to me, and make a living playing Clone Hero.”
The challenge of Through the Fire and Flames at regular speed is daunting enough, but CarnyJared's performance at 200% speed is nothing short of mind-boggling. Completing the seven-and-a-half-minute song in just over three minutes is a testament to his skill and perseverance.
Achieving an FC in Clone Hero means playing the entire song without missing a single note. CarnyJared's video statistics show his progress: nearly 2,000 FC runs past the first bridge, 662 past the second, and 227 to the solo section. His successful 200% FC on Through the Fire and Flames marks only his fourth time passing the solo.
Reflecting on the achievement, CarnyJared shared, “This is a moment that will live with me forever. I am blessed every single day to wake up and have food in the kitchen, and a place to sleep because of you amazing group of people.” He also thanked his family for their support throughout his life and during this challenging endeavor, describing the FC as the “hardest thing” he’s ever done.
To celebrate this monumental achievement, CarnyJared plans to release a documentary over an hour long in the coming months, offering fans an in-depth look at how such a feat was accomplished.
