SpongeBob is back in Stumble Guys, but that's not the only exciting news! Two major new features are being introduced, starting with Ranked Mode. Additionally, there's the introduction of Abilities, which are special emotes you can equip and use during the game.
It's a significant addition to any game when a collaboration with a beloved franchise like SpongeBob is mentioned at the bottom of the press release. While Stumble Guys is eager to celebrate the return of the absorbent, porous, and yellow fry-cook, there are even bigger updates to explore in this latest release.
First up is Ranked Mode. Say goodbye to purely casual play as you compete head-to-head with other players. Climb the leaderboard through ranks - Wood, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Master, all the way to Champion. Each ranked season will have its own unique theme, starting with this season's theme, Blockdash.
The second major addition is Abilities. These aren't game-changing, but they allow you to unlock and equip special emotes to use throughout your Stumble Guys matches. Use them to celebrate your victories or playfully taunt your opponents as you navigate through the Stumble Guys courses.
Stumble Guys has managed to outpace some of its inspirations with collaborations and other additions. The inclusion of Ranked Mode is sure to give a new lease of life to those who want a bit of competitive pressure to liven up their matches.
Meanwhile, the return of a famous face like SpongeBob is sure to delight fans both old and young as they board the eerie Flying Dutchman and unlock new Stumblers based on their favorite characters.
