"Sunset Hills: A Novelist

Sunset Hills, the latest puzzle game from Cottongame, creators of Reviver and Mr. Pumpkin Adventure, invites players into a serene, pastel-colored world filled with charming old city buildings and endearing humanoid dogs. This enchanting setting serves as the backdrop for heartwarming stories that unfold as you play.

Accompany Nico, a War Veteran, in His Journey

In Sunset Hills, you step into the shoes of Nico Grant, a novelist and war veteran. The narrative begins in June 794, as Nico embarks on a train journey to reconnect with his fellow ex-servicemen, Ferruccio, Doug, and Roy, seven years after the war's end. Driven by a deep-seated need to reconnect, Nico's story delves into his emotional and psychological journey.

As a child, Nico was introverted, more drawn to the world of books than social interactions, often retreating into his imagination. The war thrust him into a harsh reality where his small stature and uniqueness made him a target for bullying. Despite the challenges, Nico found solace and a coping mechanism in writing. A simple notebook became his confidant and eventually, a tool that bridged the gap between him and his squadmates, turning initial teasing into lasting friendships.

Now a successful writer, Nico's travels take him across various cities and countries by train. At each stop, players not only witness pivotal moments in his life but also engage in puzzle-solving that advances the narrative.

Sunset Hills Shows That Life after War Is Strange

Sunset Hills is a point-and-click adventure where every dialogue and interaction holds significance. Players gather clues from conversations, manipulate and combine items, and solve puzzles that range from locating the right object to helping others, solving minor crimes, and even escaping from chases. The game also offers unique activities like stitching clothes, baking bread, and performing with a band, adding depth to the gameplay experience.

The visual appeal of Sunset Hills is enhanced by its blend of hand-drawn art and 3D scenes, with Victorian-inspired architecture adding to its charm. For a glimpse into this captivating world, check out the trailer below.
