The wait is almost over for fans of the iconic sci-fi horror action role-playing game, as Nightdive Studios has announced that System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster will launch on June 26, 2025. This modernized version of the 1999 classic is set to hit not only PC but also consoles for the first time, expanding the reach of this beloved title. You can look forward to playing on Windows PC through platforms like Steam, GOG, the Epic Games Store, and the Humble Bundle Store. Console gamers, rejoice! Here’s the official synopsis of System Shock 2:

Set 42 years after the events of the first System Shock, the notorious SHODAN and her army of merciless mutants have taken over the starship Von Braun. Players take on the role of a soldier who awakens from cryo-sleep with cybernetic implants. As he delves into the chilling mystery aboard the derelict ship, he must enhance his skills, wield powerful weapons, and harness paranormal psionic abilities to combat SHODAN's monstrous creations and survive her narcissistic god complex.
