I also want to highlight the Mass Effect statues available at the IGN Store. My bookshelf was apparently not crowded enough with plastic space heroes, so I pre-ordered Jack because, well, I enjoy chaos. Commander Shepard and the rest of the crew are up for grabs too. Additionally, there's a Humble Bundle packed with narrative indies that seem to say, "you have emotions, deal with them." It's shaping up to be a great day for some justified, impulsive purchases.

I picked up Surging Sparks because six booster packs under $50 is a better deal than what Amazon has been offering lately (though still above MSRP). I wanted something new to crack open, and since it's part of the latest Scarlet & Violet expansion, it's a great choice if you're trying to keep up with the current sets or just enjoy the thrill of pulling a good card.

If you're a Mass Effect fan who's replayed the series more than once, you'll understand why these statues are so tempting. I pre-ordered Jack immediately because, well, it felt necessary. The line includes Shepard, Tali, Legion, and others, and they look so good that I've already cleared space on my shelf. If you still quote Garrus unironically, these statues are definitely for you.

Paldean Fates is priced at double the MSRP, but it's also hard to find in 2025. I grabbed it because the baby shiny sub-set is awesome. However, if you're just looking to buy single cards from this set, you might actually save money that way.
