Torchlight: Infinite's upcoming Season 8: Sandlord is set to launch on April 17th, promising a significant overhaul and new content for fans of the action RPG. This season introduces the innovative Cloud Oasis, a new gameplay area where players can engage in economic activities. Here, you'll be trading resources, managing workers, and overseeing production lines to build your aerial empire, adding a strategic layer to the traditional monster-slaying grind.
Returning character Thea brings a fresh twist to the game with her new Blasphemer trait. She swaps her divine powers for the curse of Desecration, which, although starting off weak, scales powerfully. It increases Erosion damage inversely with her remaining blessing power, making it ideal for players who enjoy damage-over-time mechanics and intricate build synergies.
Endgame content receives a major update with Deep Space being completely revamped. It now features five new stages, expanded maps, and more challenging enemies. Players can now use the new Probes system to adjust their risk and reward levels, potentially earning better loot, including Compass chests from the Compass Probe.
The update also introduces a Blending System for crafting belts, allowing players to fuse Hero Traits, Talent nodes, and unique affixes into a single item slot. This system offers deeper customization and build options. Additionally, a new boss, Night Slayer – The Wilting Plume, has been added to the Plane Watcher and the 20th floor of Supreme Showdown, enhancing the challenge for seasoned players.
To celebrate the new season, Torchlight: Infinite is hosting the Sands of Fortune anniversary event from April 17th to May 1st. Players can complete tasks, earn Gold Rush Attempts, and compete for a share of a $250,000 prize pool.
