Turtle Beach Parts Ways with Dr Disrespect

Following recent allegations surrounding his 2020 Twitch ban, Turtle Beach has severed ties with Dr Disrespect. The gaming accessory company had a long-standing partnership with the streamer, even releasing a co-branded headset.

The allegations, made by former Twitch employee Cody Conners, claim Dr Disrespect engaged in inappropriate conduct involving a minor via Twitch's Whispers feature. These claims prompted a significant backlash, leading Turtle Beach to terminate its relationship. The company's website has already removed Dr Disrespect's merchandise.

This isn't the first partnership to end due to the renewed controversy. Midnight Society, a game studio co-founded by Dr Disrespect, also announced a split, stating they previously believed in his innocence but have since changed their stance.

Dr Disrespect denies the allegations, asserting no wrongdoing and claiming the matter was resolved with Twitch in 2020. He has also announced a temporary hiatus from streaming, citing the need for a vacation, potentially extended due to the current situation. The duration of his break and future plans remain unclear.
