As the Might and Mastery season in Pokémon GO draws to a close, the excitement reaches its peak with the Final Strike: GO Battle Week, starting on May 21st, 2025, and lasting until May 27th. This is your chance to bring your Kubfu's journey to a thrilling conclusion.
What’s in Store during the Final Strike: GO Battle Week?
After weeks of dedicated effort, it's time to evolve the resilient Kubfu into the legendary Urshifu. The evolution offers two distinct paths: the Single Strike or the Rapid Strike style, each determined by your battling strategy. To unlock the Single Strike form, set Kubfu as your buddy and conquer 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles. For the Rapid Strike form, follow the same process but target 30 Water-types during the Final Strike: GO Battle Week.
In addition, a Special Research quest continues the seasonal storyline, available until June 3rd, 2025. This quest rewards you with Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters with themed Pokémon like Charcadet, complete with a Special Background.
May 25th Is a Special Day
Mark your calendars for May 25th, dubbed Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day. From 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, witness the debut of Gigantamax Machamp in six-star Max Battles. This event comes with a host of bonuses to enhance your experience. You'll need to travel only one-fourth the normal distance to earn Max Particles, and your Max Particle storage capacity will increase to 1,600. All Power Spots will feature Gigantamax Battles, offering 8× Max Particles during this period, along with the opportunity for two extra Special Trades.
Don't miss out on collecting Max Mushrooms, which temporarily double the damage output of your Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon. You can stack multiple mushrooms to extend the duration, though the damage boost remains constant.
