Paradox Focusing On Bug Fixing, Stability, and Performance
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2's release has been pushed back once more, now targeting October 2025. The game's official Twitter (X) account announced this change on March 26, accompanied by a video update.
In the video, Bloodlines 2 Executive Producer Marco Behrmann discussed the current development status. He stated, "The status of the game right now is that the game is done. We are currently working on bug fixing, stability, and performance so we can deliver the best experience to you guys once it releases."
Paradox has been sharing Dev Diaries over the past few months, detailing aspects like characters, stories, and mechanics. However, all Dev Diaries are now on pause as the team shifts focus to enhancing the game's overall quality.
First Revealed in 2019
Initially unveiled in March 2019, Bloodlines 2 was originally scheduled for a March 2020 release. The game was initially developed by Hardsuit Labs. However, in October 2019, its release was postponed to an unspecified date in 2020, and later to 2021.
During this period, several key team members departed the project. In February 2021, Paradox Interactive revealed that Hardsuit Labs would no longer be involved, with developer The Chinese Room taking over. Under The Chinese Room's stewardship, Bloodlines 2 was expected to launch in late 2024, then shifted to the first half of 2025, and now to late 2025.
