Vigilant: Burn & Bloom: A Nuanced Take on Elemental Conflict

This new endless survival game, currently in soft launch on iOS, challenges players to maintain balance between fire and water on an alien world. Players take on the role of the Sentinel, an underground guardian awakened by a mysterious meteorite.

The gameplay involves managing hordes of fiery elemental beings, not necessarily through outright destruction, but through careful control and balancing. The Sentinel's powers and abilities can be upgraded in their "Batcave," allowing for strategic approaches to managing the ecosystem.

Unlike many games that portray elemental conflicts as simple good vs. evil battles, Vigilant: Burn & Bloom offers a more nuanced perspective. While players will engage in action-packed combat, using water orbs against fire elementals, the focus is on ecosystem management rather than mindless destruction. This unique approach sets it apart from typical kill-em-all shooters.

A worldwide iOS launch is scheduled for December, with an Android release planned for Q1 2025. Keep an eye out for this intriguing title that offers a refreshing take on the classic elemental conflict. For more roguelike action, check out our review of Dungeon Clawer!
