World of Warcraft Has Good News for Players Who Forgot to Spend Their Anniversary Event Currency

by Alexis Jan 24,2025

Patch 11.1 of World of Warcraft will automatically convert leftover Bronze Celebration Tokens into Timewarped Badges. This conversion, at a rate of 1 Bronze Celebration Token to 20 Timewarped Badges, will occur upon a player's first login after the patch's release.

The World of Warcraft 20th-anniversary event, concluding on January 7th, allowed players to acquire Bronze Celebration Tokens used for purchasing various items, including revamped Tier 2 sets. Any remaining tokens will now be converted to prevent them from becoming obsolete. Blizzard has confirmed these tokens will not be used in future events.

This automatic conversion ensures players don't retain unused currency. While a specific release date for Patch 11.1 is unavailable, February 25th is a strong possibility, given the timing of other in-game events. This means the conversion will likely occur after the second Turbulent Timeways event concludes.

Timewarped Badges, obtained through this conversion, are used in Timewalking events. Players can save these badges for future events, as none of the purchasable rewards are being removed. Therefore, players are encouraged to log in after Patch 11.1's release to benefit from the automatic conversion.
