World of Warcraft Patch 11.1 Adds New Way to Customize Characters, But There\

Summary

  • Noggenfogger Select elixirs in WoW allow for temporary height adjustments, stackable up to 10 times.
  • These potions offer subtle changes to character height, providing a customizable option for a short duration.
  • Patch 11.1, Undermined, introduces new story developments for The War Within and updated visuals for WoW classes.

World of Warcraft is introducing a pair of innovative consumable potions that allow players to tweak their character's height for a limited time. While not as comprehensive as a height slider, the Noggenfogger Select elixirs offer a cost-effective and straightforward method for players to personalize their characters.

Patch 11.1, titled Undermined, is currently accessible on the Public Test Realm, providing World of Warcraft enthusiasts with a sneak peek at upcoming content. This update promises exciting narrative twists for The War Within's storyline and enhanced visuals for numerous World of Warcraft classes, ensuring a rich experience for players.

Among the new features in Patch 11.1 are the Noggenfogger Select UP and Noggenfogger Select DOWN potions. These elixirs enable players to slightly increase or decrease their character's height, with effects that can be stacked up to 10 times. Lasting for 30 minutes and remaining effective even after death, these potions are perfect for roleplaying, dungeon runs, raids, or capturing memorable screenshots. Available from Alchemist Pestlezugg in the Vatworks, the main Steamwheedle reputation hub in the new Undermine zone, these potions cost just over three gold each and are unbound and not level-restricted, making them easily tradable among characters of any level.

World of Warcraft Height-Adjustment Items in Patch 11.1

While other items in the game can drastically alter a character's size, the Noggenfogger Select potions provide more nuanced adjustments. Even at the maximum of 10 stacks, the height change is minimal, as demonstrated in screenshots from Wowhead. This makes them ideal for players seeking subtle modifications compared to the more extreme effects of items like the Elixir of Giant Growth or the original Noggenfogger Elixir.

Additionally, Alchemist Pestlezugg offers Noggenfogger Select FRESH, a potion exclusive to Goblins that enables them to perform a stylish, NPC-only lean emote. Although similar emotes exist in the game files for other races, only Goblins can access this feature through this new consumable.

The World of Warcraft community is buzzing with excitement over these new tonics, though many express a desire for a more permanent solution to character height variation. A height slider remains a distant prospect, likely requiring a major character customization overhaul. In the interim, players can use items like the Seabed Leviathan’s Citrine in Cyrce’s Circlets, play as Colossus Warriors, or rely on Noggenfogger Select and similar consumables to manage their character's height.
