Monster Couch has officially announced the release date for the highly anticipated Wingspan: Asia Expansion. Launching simultaneously across all digital platforms on June 16, 2025, this is the third expansion for the digital version of the beloved board game, following the European and Oceania editions.
A New Ornithological Journey Is About to Start
This latest Wingspan expansion immerses players in the diverse and colorful birdlife of Asia. Discover numerous species, each with unique characteristics and strategic roles. The expansion introduces 90 new bird cards to the already vast collection.
In addition to these birds, players receive 13 new bonus cards. Two are specially created for Automa, the game’s dedicated solo mode. Consistent with the Wingspan style, every card includes thorough details and interesting facts about the birds.
The standout feature of Wingspan: Asia Expansion, however, is the brand-new Duet Mode. Designed for two players, it revolves around a shared Duet Map. Compete by placing tokens to occupy habitat spaces while striving to complete rotating round goals.
What’s the Visual Appeal of Wingspan Asia?
In a single word: stunning! Four new backgrounds are inspired by different Asian landscapes. The expansion also presents eight distinctive player portraits that reflect regional aesthetics and cultures. Watch the newly released launch date reveal trailer below for a preview.
Every gaming session feels immersive and personal, accompanied by four original music tracks composed by Paweł Górniak. There’s also an updated tutorial for newcomers to the game.
Wingspan: Asia Expansion will be available on Android, iOS, Steam, GOG, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and PlayStation at the same time. The price is set at $11.99 on all platforms.
