Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Lineup: New Arrivals and Departures
Microsoft has unveiled its first Xbox Game Pass lineup of 2025, confirming several anticipated titles and announcing departures. January promises an exciting start to the year for subscribers, building on recent service updates including age restrictions and revised rewards.
The official Xbox blog, on January 7th, 2025, announced seven new games. Road 96, a choice-driven title, is immediately available across all Game Pass tiers (including PC). This marks its return to the service after a previous stint. Six additional games join the lineup later in the month: Lightyear Frontier (Preview), My Time at Sandrock, Robin Hood – Sherwood Builders, and Rolling Hills launch on January 8th, while UFC 5 and Diablo arrive on January 14th.
New Games:
- Road 96: Available January 7th (All Tiers)
- Lightyear Frontier (Preview): Available January 8th (Standard & Ultimate)
- My Time at Sandrock: Available January 8th (Standard & Ultimate)
- Robin Hood – Sherwood Builders: Available January 8th (Standard & Ultimate)
- Rolling Hills: Available January 8th (Standard & Ultimate)
- UFC 5: Available January 14th (Ultimate Only)
- Diablo: Available January 14th (Ultimate & PC Game Pass)
Note the tier exclusivity for Diablo and UFC 5. Diablo is limited to Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers, while UFC 5 is an Ultimate-only offering. The remaining titles are accessible with a standard subscription.
Alongside the new games, several Game Pass Ultimate perks launched on January 7th, including weapon charms for Apex Legends and DLC for First Descendant, Vigor, and Metaball.
Departing Games (January 15th):
The following six games will be leaving Xbox Game Pass on January 15th:
- Common'hood
- Escape Academy
- Exoprimal
- Figment
- Insurgency Sandstorm
- Those Who Remain
