The halls of Xavier's Institute are buzzing once again in Marvel Snap, as the May season introduces the thrilling theme of the New X-Men. This season promises to shake up your matches with a fresh class of rising stars, led by the newest addition to the squad, Esme Cuckoo. Alongside her, characters like Surge and Prodigy are ready to redefine the meta with their unique abilities.
Esme Cuckoo, a telepathic clone of Emma Frost, brings her no-nonsense attitude to the game. Her On Reveal effect is a game-changer, pulling a card from your deck, adjusting its cost to three and its power to four, and handing it to you as a potent strategic tool.
The excitement doesn't stop there. Each week, a new Series 5 mutant will join the fray, introducing innovative twists to your gameplay. Look out for Surge, Prodigy, Elixir, and Xorn, each bringing their own flair to your deck. Additionally, Captain Carter's seasonal pack makes a comeback for those who missed it previously.
This month also features two new locations that will challenge your strategies: Pit of Exile and Genosha. Pit of Exile demands leaner builds and smarter sequencing by shutting down big power plays early on. On the other hand, Genosha sets the stage for dramatic final turns by clearing all but your most expensive card right at the end. These locations are sure to keep you on your toes and flip the script on your usual decks.

Beyond the battles, Marvel Snap is launching three new collection albums this month. The first, debuting on May 8th, is a collaboration with Penny Arcade, featuring Mike Krahulik's unique variants. This will be followed by Rian Gonzales' chibi-themed collection on May 15th, and a disco-themed dance fest on May 30th, showcasing groove-worthy variants of Deadpool, Spider-Man, and Dazzler.
