Craft unique cross stitch patterns with the Cross Stitch Pattern Creator tool
Begin creating by clicking the "Create a Cross Stitch Pattern" button.
The Cross Stitch Pattern Editor will open. Populate the grid squares with your preferred DMC floss colors.
You can also define custom colors if needed.
Getting started - Use the pencil tool to mark squares in your design. The eraser tool removes marked squares.
Choose from over 80 decorative stamps and borders to enhance your pattern.
The toolbar buttons, from left to right, include:
DMC Floss Color - Select your desired embroidery thread color
Save - Store your pattern progress
Pencil - Fill grid squares in your design
Eraser - Remove filled squares and backstitch lines
Backstitch - First choose a color, then activate this tool to add detail lines
Backstitch Move - Click and drag existing backstitches to new positions
Backstitch End Adjustment - Select a backstitch to reveal blue endpoint handles, then reposition either end
Stamps - Apply small decorative motifs to your pattern
Borders - Add frame designs that automatically adapt to your pattern dimensions
Dropper - Sample any color from your pattern for reuse
Bucket - Flood-fill connected areas with the active color
Bucket+ - Replace all instances of one color with another throughout the design
Undo - Reverse your most recent changes
Redo - Restore previously undone modifications
Selection Box - Define pattern areas for editing operations
Cut - Remove the selected pattern area after using the Selection Box tool
Copy - Duplicate the selected area to clipboard after selection
Paste - Insert copied elements and position them as desired
Rotate - Spin selected portions or the entire pattern
Flip Horizontal - Mirror selected areas or complete pattern left/right
Flip Vertical - Invert selected sections or full pattern top/bottom
Zoom In - Enlarge pattern view
Zoom Out - Reduce pattern view
Symbols - Show unique identifiers for each color value
Picture - Convert device images into stitchable patterns
Social Media - Share creations via email, messaging, or other platforms
Resize Handles - Drag the corner controls to adjust pattern dimensions
Settings - Customize grid appearance, switch between solid and X-style fills,
and toggle row/column counter visibility
Instructions - View DMC color requirements and finished sizes for
various Aida cloth counts
Preview - See how your design will look when stitched, with optional
fabric color adjustments
