Application Description

DOMini: A Versatile Digital Oscilloscope for Diverse Applications

The DOMini digital oscilloscope is a perfect tool for students, hobbyists (like Arduino users), researchers, and electronic engineers. Its multifaceted capabilities make it ideal for a wide range of tasks.

Key Features:

  • Six measurement channels (four analog + two digital).
  • Four measurement modes: single-shot, normal, auto, and record.
  • Triggering based on event occurrence for precise data capture.
  • Real-time Fourier analysis for frequency domain insights.
  • Extensive waveform memory: 13,200 measurements (analog) and up to 26,400 (logic analyzer).
  • High sampling rates: 5,000 to 1,000,000 samples per second (analog) and 5,000 to 12,000,000 samples per second (digital).
  • Dual voltage supply: +3.3V and +5V.
  • Probe calibration with customizable units.
  • Compatibility with standard x1 and x10 oscilloscope probes.
  • Wide voltage measurement range: ±5V, 0-10V (±15V, 0-30V with x1 probe).
  • 10-bit ADC resolution for accurate measurements.
  • Four digital PWM inputs/outputs.
  • Comprehensive digital interfaces: SPI, I2C, UART, and 1-WIRE.

Applications:

  • Analysis of analog and digital signals.
  • Frequency analysis using Fast Fourier Transform (FFT).
  • Control of external devices via four I/O ports.
  • PWM signal generation (3Hz to 10MHz).
  • Testing integrated circuits with digital interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, 1-WIRE).
  • Power supply (+3.3V and +5V, up to 30mA).
  • Data acquisition system (compatible with various sensors: temperature, humidity, light, etc.).
  • High-impedance input/output port state (Z-state) detection.

As an Arduino hobbyist, this oscilloscope is surprisingly capable for the price! The zoom function is smooth and measurements are accurate enough for my projects. Could use more tutorial content tho 😊 -Mike
