In 2022, Innersloth took the gaming world by storm with the release of a virtual reality version of Among Us, which received widespread acclaim. Building on that success, the studio is now pushing boundaries again with Among Us 3D. This new iteration transforms the beloved game into a fully immersive first-person experience, accessible without a VR headset, catering to fans of traditional gaming setups.
A teaser trailer has been released, giving players a sneak peek at how familiar mechanics like tasks, meetings, and sabotage will look and feel from a first-person perspective. Excitingly, fans will get the chance to dive into this new mode during Steam's upcoming "Game On" festival, where a free demo will be available for hands-on testing.
Although an official release date hasn't been set, Among Us 3D will launch first on PC, optimized for seamless gameplay with keyboard and mouse controls. The interface has been revamped to enhance user accessibility. Additionally, cross-play functionality will bridge the gap between Among Us 3D and Among Us VR, allowing players across both platforms to join forces, while the original Among Us remains a standalone experience.
To enrich the gameplay further, Innersloth is set to introduce a new in-game currency called Stardust in the coming months. This addition will offer players expanded customization options, enabling them to personalize their avatars and actively participate in the game's continuous development.
