The legendary strategy series, *Age of Empires Mobile*, is expanding its universe with the introduction of the innovative Mercenaries System. This new feature empowers players with greater control and enhanced capabilities over their armies, adding a fresh layer of strategy to the game.
At Level 26, players gain access to the Mercenary Camp, where they can contract and recruit formidable mercenary units. These units come with exclusive technologies that can be unlocked and upgraded, further strengthening your forces.
Each mercenary group brings unique special skills to the battlefield:
Byzantine Cataphract:
- Increase the damage of all hero skills of the army by [2%]
- After the troops inflict skill damage, all damage received by our troops is reduced by [3.5%] for [3] seconds
Swiss Pikeman:
- Increase the probability of triggering the hero’s pursuit/active skills of all troops by [1%]
- Reduce all damage received by troops by [2%]
Korean Archer:
- Increase the probability of triggering the hero’s pursuit/active skills of all troops by [1%]
- Reduce all damage received by troops by [2%]
Players can claim their first Mercenaries at no cost by participating in a special event that coincides with the launch of this system.
The Mercenaries System also introduces exciting "What if" scenarios, allowing players to experiment with unique combinations of legendary heroes and different mercenary classes. Imagine Joan of Arc leading Roman Centurions or Hannibal commanding Japanese Samurai. These strategic pairings open up new tactical possibilities, enabling players to outmaneuver their opponents and build the most formidable empire in the game.
