Albion Online, the immersive medieval fantasy MMORPG developed by Sandbox Interactive, is gearing up for its next major update, Rogue Frontier, set to launch on February 3rd. This update promises to bring a host of exciting new features and content to the game, and we've got all the details you need to know.
What's Happening in the Outlands?
The Rogue Frontier update focuses on The Smugglers, a group of rebels tired of the Royal Continent's stringent regulations. They've established themselves in the lawless Outlands, setting up secret underground hideouts known as Smuggler's Dens. These dens serve as crucial hubs for banking, repairs, and planning your next adventure. They're interconnected through the Smuggler's Network, a system that links marketplaces across the Outlands.
The Smugglers have formed their own Faction and are engaged in an ongoing conflict with the Royal Guards. Players can support them by participating in various activities, such as rescuing captured Smugglers or delivering contraband hidden in Smuggler Crates.
Loyalty Has Its Perks in the Rogue Frontier Update of Albion Online
In the Smuggler's Dens, you'll encounter Maggy Slade, a shady trader who rewards loyalty with exclusive items. Among these rewards are the Smuggler's Vanity Set, a Smuggler's Cape that reduces potion cooldowns, and a Smuggler's Ring and Avatar.
The Rogue Frontier update introduces Kill Trophies, which drop when you defeat another player. The quality of the loot on your defeated opponent increases your chances of obtaining one of these trophies.
Additionally, the update brings new stylish weapons to Albion Online. The Rotcaller Staff allows you to summon a mist-spewing form that repels enemies, the Skystrider Bow enables you to levitate and rain down bolts from above, and the Forcepulse Bracers send shockwaves through opponents as you dash into battle.
