My willpower crumbled faster than a 60 HP Basic facing a 390-damage Hydreigon ex.
The Surging Sparks set is a delightful chaos. It features chase cards that are prime candidates for grading, like the $432 Pikachu ex Special Illustration Rare. Yes, you read that right. This electric mouse isn't just a collector's dream but also a powerhouse in battle. With Topaz Bolt, it can sweep nearly any opponent from the board, and Resolute Heart makes it incredibly resilient.

The Latias ex and Latios duo brings a cinematic touch with their connected artwork. Latias, the rarer of the two, commands a higher price of over $200, showcasing the premium on rarity and sibling dynamics. Meanwhile, Milotic ex stands out with its stunning light and shadow play, while also serving as a formidable counter to Tera Pokémon.
My personal highlight is Ceruledge, with its vibrant, almost neon-like design that feels like a fever dream in the best way possible. It's the first time this card has gained significant value, and the illustrator, Rond, deserves accolades for this masterpiece. Even though Ceruledge isn't a top-tier competitive Pokémon, the art alone makes it a must-have.
Whether you're a collector looking for valuable cards, a player aiming to enhance your deck, or simply someone who enjoys the thrill of opening packs, this set has something for everyone. I've already opened one box and am seriously considering another for the sake of "research."
The bundle comes with six booster packs, which doesn't guarantee you'll pull any of the heavy hitters, but given how quickly these are selling out, it's wise not to delay. After all, Pikachu won't pull itself.
