Apex Legends Devs Unveil Matchmaking and Anti-Cheat Fixes

Respawn Entertainment, the developers behind the popular battle royale game Apex Legends, have recently unveiled exciting updates in a new video. These updates focus on enhancing the player matchmaking system and implementing stronger measures against unfair play, not just limited to cheating. These changes aim to elevate the gaming experience and maintain the game's competitive integrity.

In terms of matchmaking, players will soon see their skill levels displayed in non-ranked matches, allowing for more transparent and balanced gameplay. Additionally, Respawn is fine-tuning queue wait times to improve the overall flow of entering matches. The studio is also addressing critical issues such as score calculation and imposing restrictions on pre-formed squads within ranked matches, ensuring a fairer competitive environment.

On the anti-cheat front, Respawn is taking significant steps to combat team collusion. Thanks to specific algorithms, there has already been a noticeable reduction in these incidents. The developers are also introducing a notification system that will inform players about penalties applied to those reported for unfair play. Moreover, they are actively fighting against the use of bots in matches. A sophisticated machine learning model is in development, designed not only to detect existing bots but also to prevent the emergence of new ones.

Respawn Entertainment has committed to maintaining open communication with the Apex Legends community. Their goal is to ensure that the game remains both fun and competitive, without sacrificing its integrity. These upcoming updates reflect Respawn's dedication to continuously improving the player experience and safeguarding the game's fairness.
