Ash Echoes Is Already on Version 1.1, with Two New Characters and a Month-Long Event

by Nathan Jan 18,2025

Just a few short weeks after Ash Echoes arrived globally on Android and iOS, Noctua Games’s smash hit gacha RPG is getting its first major update.

Version 1.1 of the game is called Tomorrow is a Blooming Day, but here’s the twist: it turns out Blooming Day was actually last Thursday, because that’s when the update dropped. The accompanying event is set to run until December 26th.

Before we spill the beans on what you can expect to find in this event, here’s some background for anybody out there who’s playing catch-up.

Ash Echoes is an interdimensional RPG with gacha mechanics and real-time combat.

It takes place in the year 1116, after a vast and ominous rift called the Skyrift Passage appears over northern Hailin City and starts wreaking havoc by unleashing huge amounts of destruction while opening a portal to other realms.

And then there are the Echomancers—the mysterious new superbeings that have cropped up in the rift’s shadow.

Playing as the director of S.E.E.D, the body created to study these troubling superbeings, you have to summon Echomancers and send them into visually spectacular and tactically demanding battles with dramatic narrative consequences.

Okay, you’re pretty much caught up. Now let’s see what Tomorrow Is a Blooming Day has in store.

There are already tons of powerful, gorgeously animated Echomancers to summon in Ash Echoes, but version 1.1 adds another two 6-star Echomancers to the list, complete with their own unique powers and compelling backstories.

They are Scarlett, a motorbike-riding, shotgun-toting femme fatale in crimson pirate attire, and Baili Tusu, a noble sword-wielding warrior.

To check out the new stuff, just log in to pull the “Target Tracing” Scarlett Memory Trace, complete with a powerful Scarlett’s Trace Awakening Skill, until December 26th. From December 12th, meanwhile, you’ll also be able to bring Baili Tusu into the fight.

There’s a whole new Float Parade limited time gameplay event, too. It sees Scarlett and Baili Tusu driving their floats through a parade, collecting gifts and completing collection tasks in order to earn limited time furniture and special interactions.

To get the ball rolling, download Ash Echoes for free right now on Google Play or the App Store.
