Bandai Namco Announces Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage EOS

Bandai Namco's fortress strategy RPG, Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage, is officially shutting down on December 9th, 2024, ending a nearly seven-year run. This isn't entirely unexpected, mirroring the fate of other Naruto gacha games like Naruto Blazing, which also faced challenges related to PvP balance and ultimately ceased operation.

Final Events and Shutdown Date:

The game's final stretch includes several events: the Village Leader World Championship (October 8th-18th), an All-Out Mission (October 18th-November 1st), and a "Thanks For Everything" campaign (November 1st-December 1st). Players can continue collecting Ninja Cards, participating in summoning events, and utilizing in-game items until the December 9th shutdown. Spend any remaining Gold Coins before the game closes.

Reasons for Closure:

While initially successful with its balanced village-building, trap-setting, and defense mechanics, the game's trajectory shifted. The introduction of Minato Namikaze marked a turning point, initiating a noticeable power creep that alienated many players. This was compounded by increasingly prominent pay-to-win elements, reduced free-to-play rewards, and the decline of multiplayer features. These factors contributed to the game's eventual closure. The game remains available on the Google Play Store for those who wish to try it before the shutdown.
