NCSoft has announced the end-of-service (EOS) for its multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game, Battle Crush. This is surprising, especially considering the game never reached its fully polished release. Following a global test in August 2023 and an early access launch in June 2024, the game will be shutting down just months later.
Battle Crush's EOS Date
The game's servers will be taken offline on November 29th, 2024. In-game purchases have already been halted. However, players who made purchases between June 27th, 2024, and October 23rd, 2024, are eligible for a refund.
Refunds for Android and Steam players can be requested between December 2nd, 2024, and January 2025. Players should download any desired game content before November 28th, 2024, as the game will become inaccessible afterward.
The official Battle Crush website will remain online until May 30th, 2025, for any necessary support. Social media accounts and the Discord server will close on January 31st, 2025.
Unexpected Closure?
The announcement of Battle Crush's closure is undoubtedly disappointing for players who invested time and effort into the game. While the game offered enjoyable moments, it fell short of expectations. Some players found the controls somewhat clunky and the pacing uneven. This lack of polish ultimately contributed to the decision to end service.
You can still download and play Battle Crush on the Google Play Store before the November 29th shutdown. Alternatively, stay tuned for our next article covering the story-driven quests in Black Desert Mobile's Autumn Season.
