The final two free updates for Dead Cells mobile have been pushed back, arriving on February 18th, 2025. These updates, "Clean Cut" and "The End is Near," will introduce significant new content to the popular roguelike.
Developer Playdigious announced the delay but also confirmed the new release date. Both updates, already released on PC and consoles, bring substantial additions to the game.
Clean Cut features two new weapons: the Sewing Scissors (survival-focused) and the Giant Comb (brutality-focused). A new NPC, the Tailor's Daughter, allows players to customize their character's appearance.
The End is Near introduces fresh challenges with new enemies like the Sore Loser, Curser, and Doom Bringer. Players can also expect new skills and colorless mutations, including Demonic Strength, which significantly boosts damage when cursed.
Playdigious has consistently provided generous free content for Dead Cells. While the end of these free updates allows the studio to pursue other projects, their commitment to the mobile version is evident.
Both updates will launch simultaneously on Android and iOS on February 18th, 2025. New players are encouraged to consult a weapon tier list to prepare for the challenging gameplay.
