Kojima Productions has officially announced the worldwide launch schedule for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, the highly anticipated sequel to Hideo Kojima's acclaimed open-world delivery simulation featuring Norman Reedus.
While standard edition players gain access at midnight local time on Thursday, June 26, purchasers of the digital deluxe edition receive early access starting Tuesday, June 24 — a full two-day head start.
Though Kojima Productions hasn't released its customary regional time zone map, the release timing remains straightforward—most players worldwide can expect access precisely at their local midnight.
IGN's review awarded Death Stranding 2 a stellar 9/10, praising: "Death Stranding 2: On The Beach masterfully builds upon its predecessor's foundation, delivering an even more compelling experience."
Beyond gaming, Hideo Kojima remains busy expanding the Death Stranding universe—including a live-action A24 film adaptation and confirmation of an upcoming anime series. His studio also develops PlayStation-exclusive espionage title Physint, while describing Microsoft-published horror project OD as "a passion project years in the making."
