When diving into the challenging world of *The First Berserker: Khazan*, a game firmly rooted in the Soulslike genre, players are met with formidable adversaries right from the start. Yetuga is an aggressive beast, known for its frenetic attacks when its territory is threatened. To emerge victorious, you'll need to master the combat mechanics you've learned throughout the game. The boss can unleash both long and short-range attacks, including a leaping slam, making it essential to focus on your dodges and parries to minimize damage.

Yetuga's arsenal includes:

  • A two-hit combo starting with a left-handed smash downward followed by a right-handed uppercut.
  • A four-hit combo with horizontal swipes using either its left or right arm.
  • A downward smash with both arms.
  • A leaping single-handed smash.
  • A jumping grab.
  • A charge.

Throughout the fight, you'll need to learn its attack patterns and strike back during the brief windows between its assaults. Parrying, except for the jumping grab, will not only help you avoid damage but also deal significant Stamina damage to Yetuga. You can use its aggressive nature to your advantage by dodging its charge and allowing it to crash into a wall, leaving it momentarily vulnerable. This is your chance to attack and potentially destroy the ice spikes on its back, which will reduce its attacking potency.

In the second phase, Yetuga's attacks become more intense. You can parry all its attacks except the grab, which will help conserve your Stamina. Keep up the pressure, and when Yetuga roars and powers up, it's time to back off. It will then pick up a giant rock to smash towards you, so timing your dodge or parry is crucial. Additionally, Yetuga will use a frost breath that creates ice spikes; either move away or parry this attack when it reaches you. Utilize Potent Attacks when possible, and when Yetuga is exhausted, unleash a Brutal Attack to deal substantial damage and bring it down.

Upon defeating Yetuga, you'll be rewarded with 4,800 Lacrima, along with Frozen Mountain gear items and the Necklace of Resolve, acknowledging your hard-fought victory.

That's all the essential information you need to defeat Yetuga in *The First Berserker: Khazan*. For more tips and strategies, be sure to check out The Escapist.
