Nintendo has revealed Donkey Kong Bananza, an exclusive 3D platformer coming to Switch 2 on July 17, 2025 for $69.99. The announcement came during Nintendo's Direct presentation alongside a debut gameplay trailer.
The official description teases:
Prepare for Donkey Kong Bananza - a groundbreaking 3D platforming adventure exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2. Smash through environments, tear apart terrain, and discover hidden areas as destruction creates new paths. Experience chaotic exploration filled with surprises and bananas when DK storms onto Switch 2 this July.
The Nintendo Switch 2 itself launches earlier on June 5, 2025 priced at $449.99. The standard package includes:

For $499.99, players can opt for the Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle, including a download code for the $79.99 Mario Kart World title available at launch.
Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa stated: "Switch 2 represents the evolution of our hybrid gaming concept after eight years of innovation. With its expanded capabilities, we believe it will deliver new ways to bring joy to players worldwide."
