Fantasma, Dynabytes\' augmented reality adventure, adds new languages to coincide with Gamescom Latam

by Harper Jan 16,2025

Pocket Gamer recently discovered Dynabytes' Fantasma at Gamescom Latam – a multiplayer augmented reality (AR) GPS adventure game. This exciting title recently received an update adding Japanese, Korean, Malay, and Portuguese language support, with German, Italian, and Spanish planned for release in the coming months.

But what exactly is Fantasma? Players hunt and battle mischievous creatures using portable electromagnetic fields as bait. Combat takes place in augmented reality, requiring players to maneuver their phones to keep the Fantasma in view while tapping the screen to attack. Defeated creatures are then captured in special bottles.

Fantasma's creatures appear based on your real-world location, encouraging exploration. Sensors can be deployed to expand your search radius. Team up with friends for a more collaborative gameplay experience.

Fantasma is free-to-play (with in-app purchases) and available now on the App Store and Google Play. Download it today!
